I am currently recruiting for a ‘CNC Setter machinist Miller / Turner’.
The successful applicant will responsible to Set & fully machine components from drawings and ensure the quality is of a high standard and completed on time delivery.
The Key Responsibilities will include:
- To set, prove & fully machine parts as required from programs supplied from the Production Engineering team
- Program components on machine using drawings/information provided if necessary
- Save all programs and set up sheets after every job identifying areas for improvement
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineers with any tooling or material matters
- 1st off & in-process inspection ensuring quality of parts is to the standard required
- Working with minimum supervision
- Work within a team environment
- A very high level of housekeeping must be seen at all times in workshops and around machines
Person Specification:
The successful applicant will have a background within a batch / prototype-manufacturing environment. The preferred industry sector would be within motorsport, aerospace or research and development.
Be trained to apprentice level or proven experience with a wide range of knowledge.

CHEF – MATERNITY COVER
I am recruiting for an experienced Chef to carry out Maternity Cover from September through til February 2009. You will be responsible for the support to the Catering Manager and all members of the Catering Team in the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
To help keep a high standard of hygiene as set down by the management and Environmental Health Officer.
To cover for other staff in times of absence.
To assist with hospitality events including Teas for Sports Events, Meetings, Functions and Parents Functions.
Ensuring at the end of each service, the kitchen is left clean, tidy, all equipment is switched off and all stores and doors are locked as instructed.
Responsibilities
a. Menus As directed by the Catering Manager prepare varied and balanced menus.
Assist the Catering Manager in providing suitable meals for those with vegetarian and special needs.
b. Provisions and Stock Control To ensure the correct uses of provisions and their handling, storage, rotation on site.
Control of waste The maintenance of high standards of hygiene and practices.
c. Equipment Report and damaged equipment in the kitchen dining room to the Catering Manager.
d. Controls To follow instructions and work within legal guidelines (e.g temperatures, dates, ingredients, rotas etc.)
Objectives In relation to third parties
As part of a thoroughly professional team:-
To enhance the regard in which the school is held by third parties so as to encourage enrolments within the schools admission policy as set from time to time; and
Objectives As Chef
To ensure that the Catering Department is a high quality and accessible resource to the school delivering a high standard of food to the children, staff and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner; and
To assist the Catering Manager in ensuring that all relevant Catering Regulations and Health & Safety Legislation is adhered to ; and
Working Hours
30 Hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.00am to 2.00pm Wednesday and Saturday from 12.00noon to 5.00pm
Plus additional overtime as may be required from time to time.
Uniform is provided which must be worn. You will be responsible for ensuring that your uniform is clean and presentable for each shift.
To adhere to strict Hygiene requirements, all staff must be responsible for themselves, no bracelets, excessive jewellery or nail varnish must be worn.
